Our Teachers

Three Year-old Class - Carrie Cadicamo has a BA Degree in Child Psychology and Political Science from the University of Michigan. In addition, she has attended and presented various workshops and training in early childhood education. Besides her experience with raising three girls, she has been an infant/toddler teacher, a nursery director at the First United Methodist Church in South Lyon, and a Parent’s Time Out program instructor for two to five year olds. Carrie is currently the Saturday Nursery and Preschool Coordinator at Oak Pointe Church. She has been a co-op parent with all three of her children, two of whom attended Novi Co-op Preschool. This is Carrie’s third year teaching at our preschool.

Four Year-old Class and Multi-age Class -

Tracey Smith is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Child Development/ Preschool. Tracey has been teaching at the Novi Co-op for fifteen years. Prior to her years here she has been employed as a kindergarten teacher, preschool teacher and child care director. In addition to teaching preschoolers at Novi Co-op, Tracey works as a Creative Programmer in the Children’s Ministry at Oak Pointe Church. Tracey has been serving as the President of the Greater Detroit Cooperative Preschool Teachers Association for the past three years. Tracey brings years of experience as well as a sincere passion for helping children grow and develop in a nurturing, learning environment.
